A Message from the Vice Chancellor of Research
Research at Washington State University in Spokane is increasingly contributing to the overall research goals and mission of Washington State University. Over the past three years research expenditures have averaged 16 million dollars.
As a consequence of new opportunities and growth in the health sciences programs, continued research growth is anticipated. Much of the research growth is a consequence of successful extramural funding and community investment. Also, WSU Spokane faculty members routinely collaborate with colleagues on the Pullman and other WSU campuses.
The Office of Research at WSU Spokane works closely with the Office of Research in Pullman to process research proposals, negotiate contracts, and facilitate the conduct of research and scholarly activities in a coordinated fashion. The Office of Research also provides faculty development opportunities in the form of a WSU Spokane Seed Grant Program in partnership with the Colleges of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Biomedical Sciences in Spokane.
