Mission

Provide an integrated approach to the adoption of the community policing philosophy throughout the five-state region of Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming

Strive to advance the field of community oriented public safety through the advancement of innovative practices.

Enhance the knowledge and professional practice in areas of mutual interest and concern, serving the needs of the members within the region, and the field of public safety beyond our borders.

Governance

In keeping with the philosophy of establishing collaborative partnerships with diverse members of the community, WRICOPS is governed by a group of individuals representing the interests of the partnership.

Included are Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) directors, Native American tribal law enforcement, local government officials, citizens, special interest groups, and community policing practitioners.
