Urban Opportunities

Learning is as much about getting experience as it is about gaining knowledge, and WSU Spokane provides the ideal environment to put new knowledge to the test.

WSU Spokane is housed on the Riverpoint Campus in the heart of Spokane, the second-largest city in the state of Washington and the biggest city between Minneapolis and Seattle. Spokane has all the amenities of a large urban center, packaged with the friendly atmosphere of a small town.

WSU Spokane’s health sciences focus fits perfectly with the city’s status as one of the largest medical centers in the Northwest. It boasts four full-service hospitals and three specialty hospitals that serve residents of four states and parts of Western Canada. Thanks to the long-standing ties between WSU and the Spokane health care community, health sciences students have ample opportunity to learn from supportive practitioners in a wide variety of health disciplines.

Similar support is enjoyed by students in the design disciplines, education, and other fields represented at WSU Spokane. Design classes regularly feature projects based on real-life challenges, enabling students to share their ideas with the community. Among their many accomplishments, WSU design students have designed and built houses for local families in need, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Choose WSU Spokane for a chance to make a positive impact—on the community of which you’ll become a valued member, as well as on your future as a professional.
