James Dalton
Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration
James Dalton serves as WSU Spokane's vice chancellor of finance and operations. Dalton leads the finance and budget, human resources, and facilities operations teams; chairs the operations and administration team; and sits on the chancellor's cabinet and executive budget group.
Prior to joining WSU, Dalton was with Wells Fargo Bank, then held several federal and regional governmental finance positions with a focus on business modeling, investments, budget and financial forecasting, and capital planning.
Dalton earned a bachelor's degree from WSU and a master's in finance from San Diego State University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Navy's Supply Corp School in Athens, Georgia, and served as a business and logistics staff officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
