Honoring excellence
Washington State University Spokane takes pride in recognizing and honoring the stellar accomplishments and contributions of our world-class faculty, classified staff, and administrative/professional personnel.
Each year, the Faculty Excellence Award is presented at our Commencement ceremony, usually held the first Friday in May.
The Administrative/Professional Staff Excellence Award and Classified Staff Excellence Award are presented at the annual back-to-school campus-wide event, usually held in January.
Staff excellence award
The WSU Spokane Employee Excellence Award Program recognizes outstanding contributions to our university and the Spokane community by WSU Spokane classified staff and administrative/professional employees at this campus. The selection committee consists of past recipients.
The Staff Excellence Awards is announced at a campus-wide meeting. Recipients are awarded a plaque. Names of previous recipients are engraved on a permanent plaque in the Chancellor's Office.

Faculty excellence award
The primary criterion of the Faculty Excellence Award is teaching excellence in academic or community settings. The selection committee consists of past recipients.
The Faculty Excellence Award is announced each year at Commencement. Recipients are awarded a medallion to be worn with regalia and a plaque. Names of previous recipients are engraved on a permanent plaque in the Chancellor's Office.
