Jae Kennedy

Jae Kennedy, Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Administration at Washington State University, will serve as principal investigator on this project.

In 1999, he was selected as a NIDRR Distinguished Research Fellow and began studying access barriers to health and rehabilitation services for adults with disabilities. Dr. Kennedy has published over 30 peer-reviewed research articles, including four on access to prescription drugs.


Lawrence Cohen

Lawrence Cohen, Professor of Pharmacotherapy, will serve as a co-investigator and director of the formulary analysis component of this project.

Dr. Cohen has extensive research experience in psychiatric pharmacotherapy and currently serves as the assistant director of pharmacology research and training at the Washington Institute for Mental Health Research and Training.

 

Marjorie Olney

Marjorie Olney, Associate Professor of Rehabilitation at San Diego State University (SDSU) will serve as a co-investigator and director of the qualitative analysis component of this project.

Dr. Olney’s dissertation and much of her subsequent research has effectively employed qualitative research methods to explore disability identity and employment.

 

David Sclar

David Sclar, Boeing Distinguished Professor of Health Policy and Interim Chair of the Department of Health Policy & Administration WSU, will serve as a co-investigator and co-director of the quantitative analysis component of this project.


Dr. Sclar has done extensive research on trends in prescribing patterns using data from the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey and the Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey.
