UW School of Medicine Interviews

interviews

uw school of medicine

The University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) will interview candidates periodically throughout the year at the Riverpoint Campus in Spokane, WA. Applicants have the chance to see the campus, meet current WWAMI Spokane students and attend a class. The faculty, staff and students affiliated with WWAMI Spokane look forward to introducing you to WWAMI and its programs.

Three people from the admissions committee will conduct the interviews. Applications are reviewed at a meeting afterward. At this meeting, one of three things will happen: you may be accepted, you may be rejected or you may continue to be under consideration. Some applicants who interview in February will find out in late March if they're accepted.

At present, three of the four years of medical education can be completed in Spokane (students spend their second year in Seattle). Efforts are underway to make WSU Spokane a full four-year medical education campus.

During the first and second years, students spend a lot of time learning basic medical concepts. The third and fourth years are reserved for clinical work.
