meet wwami spokane students
Our community welcomed Spokane's inaugural class of 20 medical students in August 2008. The inaugural class featured students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences that added to the unique diversity of the program in Spokane. While many of our students arrived fresh out of undergraduate courses, others had spent time teaching, lobbying for health care, coaching and judging national debate teams, conducting medical research, and mountain guiding - all adding to the experience in Spokane. With a class size of 20, students in Spokane get to know each other well and have great opportunities to learn in a smaller environment. Students at WWAMI Spokane also gain a strong clinical education through a broad, hands-on experience with the large medical community.
