Every August, WSU Spokane Medical Education and the UW School of Medicine hold a three-day orientation for new first-year medical students. The highlights include panel discussions featuring past WSU Spokane medical students, the annual 'presentation of stethoscopes' to the new class members and team building exercises, including rafting trips down the Spokane River.
