Complex Trauma & Social Emotional Learning: Pathways to Improving Academic Success
April 7 – 8, 2010: Red Lion Hotel at the Park, Spokane, Washington
Conference participants will be exposed to intermediate level information about the relationship between early, chronic negative life events, the impact of those on brain development, and their effects on students’ ability to succeed in school. School teams, using a Professional Learning Community approach, should expect to learn and discuss how to adapt what the science is telling us about adaptive behavior in children and how to adjust school practice using this information to improve academic success.
