Partners and activities
The Spokane MESA Center provides opportunities for students in grades 7–10 within the Spokane Public Schools district through the use of exemplary materials and instructional approaches, and serves as a catalyst and model for educational excellence and equity.
Participating schools include five high schools (Ferris, Lewis and Clark, North Central, Rogers, and Shadle Park) and all six middle schools (Chase, Garry, Glover, Sacajawea, Salk, and Shaw).
Approximately 400 students participate in Spokane MESA each year. Through MESA's activities, students receive the educational enrichment experiences and practical help needed to prepare for university-level studies in a variety of science and technology related fields.
Activities include , field trips, speakers, competitions, classroom enrichment activities, and college preparation services are available.
