Campus art

This artwork was acquired through Washington State’s Art in Public Places Program and is part of the State Art Collection—a collection of over 4,500 works located at public schools, state agencies, colleges, and universities.

The  Washington State Arts Commission’s Art in Public Places Program is funded through the state’s capital construction budget. Community representatives develop criteria, select artists, and review artwork proposals for new artwork.

Campus arts committee

A campus arts committee has been appointed for the selection of public art for the new Biomedical & Health Sciences Building. The first phase of the building is slated to be complete in January 2014.
