MOVE, ADD, CHANGE - MAC

Move, Add, Change (MAC) is a service that enables departments to install new
equipment or alter existing workstations for faculty and staff members. This service can be also used to add additional workstations to an office or lab, ensuring our departments can expand and change their workstations to meet demand.

The Move, Add, Change (MAC) Request allows Riverpoint faculty and staff to quickly adapt to layout and personnel changes with a simple-to-use one step process. An ITS technician will help complete the installation or move and will work with you to make sure that the added or altered software and hardware meet your requirements.

Features

  •  You can submit a MAC Request ahead of schedule and specify an install-by date to ensure new employees will have a ready workstation awaiting them on their first day.
  •  The MAC Request takes care of all moves, additions, and changes within one form for all technical equipment. This includes desktops, VoIP telephones, and single-user or network printers.
  •  A MAC Request can also be used to request software migration from one workstation to another. If an employee is changing computers or other equipment, we can help provide a seamless transition.


Getting Started

Submit a MAC Request directly to the Technical Support Center. The Technical Support Center is located on the third floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 311). Technicians are available Monday-Thursday 7:30am-8pm, Friday 7:30am-5pm, and Saturday 8am-5pm, excluding University holidays. Contact by phone at (509) 358-7748 or by email at spok.it.help@wsu.edu.

Rates

There are no costs associated with a Move, Add, Change (MAC) Request for end users. Departments may be assessed a monthly fee for new equipment support. Contact the Technical Support Center for rate questions.
