CLASSROOM SUPPORT

The Classroom Support team works alongside our Technical Support Center to maintain and service the distance learning classrooms on the Riverpoint campus and is responsible for preparing and supporting classroom audiovisual and educational technology. To accommodate classes held later in the evening, support technicians are available outside of normal business hours.

The Classroom Support team connects, monitors, and supports our classrooms and conference rooms. Classroom Support technicians can address issues such as connection problems or low sound and video quality either remotely or in-person. Technicians can also assist with questions regarding lecture capture, video streaming, and desktop videoconferencing.

Features

  •  If your distance learning classroom is experiencing technical difficulties, our technicians can quickly remedy them by phone, remotely, or in-person. If a technician is dispatched to your location, expect arrival within 10 minutes.
  •  The Classroom Support team can also assist our faculty with classroom technology training. Learn about the state-of-the-art distance learning technology available at Riverpoint. See Training for more information.
  •  Need to schedule a meeting using our Videoconferencing service? Submit an online Meeting Request Form to both reserve the meeting room and schedule the videoconference event itself.

Getting Started

If you need classroom support, contact the Technical Support Center, located on the first floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 120). Technicians are available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, excluding university holidays. Contact by phone at (509) 358-7748 or by email at spok.it.help@wsu.edu.

Rates

There are no costs for classroom support; however, there may be costs for academic or administrative event support. Please see our ITS Service Rates for more information.
