DISASTER RECOVERY

Riverpoint ITS employs a business continuity strategy for our students, faculty, staff and institutional partners – enabling the network and IT-related resources to remain accessible in the event that the campus infrastructure itself becomes partially or completely non-operational.

Available To

Faculty, Staff, Departments, IT Affiliates

Benefits

To safeguard against a network outage caused by a catastrophic disaster, Riverpoint ITS employs a disaster recovery plan. This plan uses remote access, data backup, and network redundancy to ensure network and data integrity both during and after an event – safeguarding our computing resources against internal and external accidents, failures and threats – providing piece of mind for our institutional partners and affiliates.

Features

  •  Our partnership with the Washington State University Pullman campus allows access during a system outage – including using Remote Access - VPN service to maintain user connections.
  •  Riverpoint ITS creates and maintains redundant systems that enable our network and IT resources to remain accessible during a potential outage. This built-in redundancy is essential to disaster recovery and allows our network to cope with a partial outage.
  •  Full and incremental Data Backup is also an essential component of our disaster recovery service – enabling our departments and institutional partners to retrieve data after an event.
