LAPTOP RENTAL

The Technical Support Center provides rental laptops to students on a weekly, monthly, or semester-based schedule. Laptops are pre-loaded with essential software, such as Microsoft Office, and are wireless-ready. Laptop rentals are currently only available to Washington State University students.

Benefits

While technology offers many advantages to the students and instructors of Riverpoint, it can create difficulties for those who lack a mobile computer. Our rental laptops are an excellent option for students that would not otherwise have access to a mobile computer or those whose personal laptops are damaged or unavailable during the school year. Features

  • Laptops are Dell E6520 models with an Intel I5 processor, 4 GB RAM, and 250 GB hard drives. They feature Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Forefront antivirus software.
  •  Laptops are available at reasonable weekly and monthly rates or by the semester. For more information about rental periods and options, please review About the Laptop Rental Program.
  •  Rental laptops are for scholastic and personal use. Students can use them to review notes while in class, to collaborate online while on the go, and to keep in touch with friends and classmates while at home.

Getting Started

If you are interested in renting a laptop, contact the Technical Support Center, located on the first floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 120). Technicians are available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, excluding university holidays. Contact by phone at (509) 358-7748 or by email at spok.it.help@wsu.edu.

Rates

Laptops can be rented at $15.00 per week, $50.00 per month or $150.00 for an entire semester of use. Rental payments must be made using Cougar Cash only. Please see our Laptop Rental Agreement for more information about rental rates, fees, and conditions.
