NETWORK ID & PASSWORDS

Washington State University provides many online resources that are dependent on a WSU Network ID (NID) for authentication. Network IDs are issued to all WSU Spokane students, faculty, and staff.

Available To

Students, Faculty, Staff, Departments

Benefits

Network IDs are required for many network-related functions, including connecting to the wireless network, logging in to the WSU Spokane campus computers, and accessing the WSU web portal. Riverpoint ITS manages permissions based on Network IDs, enabling users access to certain shares or services while on campus or allowing remote connection from off-campus.

Features

  •  Users can determine and reset network IDs and passwords online:
  •  To protect your network ID, we recommend that users select a secure password. For more information about usage guidelines and network security for Network IDs and NetIDs please review:

  •  Even after departure from the institution, a Network ID can be used to access personal information retained by WSU. Network IDs can also be created for non-WSU-affiliated users, but sponsorship by a department head is required.
