SOFTWARE LICENSE MANAGEMENT

Riverpoint ITS manages and distributes software licenses for all software on campus. Riverpoint ITS can assist with software installation, make software recommendations, offer reduced pricing for multiple copies, and negotiate new software site licenses.

Benefits

Washington State University negotiates site licenses with software vendors to receive the best possible value; each site license has its own terms and conditions. Software site licenses are intended for academic related purposes. Some licenses, which are entered into collaboratively, are available to our institutional partners as well.

Features

  • Software site licenses are an excellent option for departments looking to purchase multiple software copies and may offer significant savings when compared to single purchases.
  • Site licenses are available as universal licenses or node licenses. Universal licenses cover unlimited users; node licenses cover a pre-determined number of users and may offer price point discounts based on the volume of the purchase.
  • Riverpoint ITS can work with your department to find the most economical software solution – including adding your group to an existing license or partnering with another department to make a software purchase.

For information about software site licenses, contact the Technical Support Center, located on the first floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 120). Rates

Software site license costs vary depending on the terms of the agreement between Riverpoint ITS and the software vendor. Contact Riverpoint ITS directly or visit the WSU Site License page for existing license rates and information about negotiating a new software site license.
