TELECONFERENCING

Teleconferencing is a service that connects one or more participants in shared audio conference via an analog or VoIP telephone. Teleconferencing is a more sophisticated and manageable way of conferencing in a voice-only format than a simple telephone conference or three-way call.

Audio-only teleconferences can often be chaotic, unmanaged events. Riverpoint ITS can help manage the technical side of teleconferencing while at the same time providing a high quality easy-to-use meeting experience for you and your

Features

  •  Riverpoint ITS can help you with room reservations and phone information to reduce delays due to confusion; your conference participants will know when, where, and how to connect.
  •  All conference rooms on the Riverpoint campus offer state-of-the-art teleconferencing equipment. Our speakerphones improve audio quality and give conference leaders tools to reduce interruption.
  •  Need a teleconference scheduled? Submit a MeetingPlace Telephone Conference Request. To reserve a conference room, request an event using the WSU Scheduling page.

To learn more about teleconferencing, contact the Technical Support Center, located on the third floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 311). Technicians are available Monday-Thursday 7:30am-8pm, Friday 7:30-5pm, and Saturday 8am-5pm, excluding University holidays. Contact by phone at (509) 358-7748 or by email at spok.it.help@wsu.edu.

Rates

There are no costs associated with academic teleconference support; however, there may be costs for non-academic or administrative videoconferences. Please see our ITS Service Rates for more information.
