WEB CONFERENCING & COLLABORATION

Web conferencing and collaboration allows students, faculty, and staff to connect on the web and participate in a shared collaborative space. This service enables participants to interact in real-time as well as the ability to share presentation material, slides, or other files.

Benefits

Web conferencing and collaboration is a web-based service and is provided to Riverpoint by Blackboard Collaborate and is an integrated component of the Angel Learning Management System. Anyone with an Angel login and access to the web can connect to a conference – making it a powerful tool for our students and faculty to participate in collaborative work outside the classroom.

Features

  •  Riverpoint students, faculty, and staff can use this service for a scheduled conference or a collaborative presentation regardless of their institutional affiliation. See Angel Support for more information about obtaining an Angel login for our institutional partners.
  •  Because this service is a component of the web-based learning management system, it requires only a plugin to be installed. Users are provided with an intuitive and familiar interface.
  •  Web conferencing requires no room reservations and operates independently of our other videoconferencing services. Participants simply need a broadband-connected computer with a web camera, microphone, and speakers.

For more information about web conferencing and collaboration, contact the Technical Support Center, located on the third floor of the Academic Center (SAC Room 311). There are no costs associated with web conferencing and collaboration for students, faculty, or staff, or institutional partners.
