Chancellor’s Faculty Excellence Awards

Awards are given annually to honor faculty members who exemplify the highest levels of excellence in the pursuit of WSU Health Sciences Spokane and the university’s mission and goals. Each spring the Chancellor calls for nominations for these awards.

This year, several new award categories have been added to the Faculty Excellence Awards, specific to the Spokane campus, to honor and recognize our distinguished faculty.

The 2021 faculty awards are:

Chancellor’s Excellence in Interprofessional Education Award
This award honors a faculty member who exemplifies leadership in interprofessional education and/or scholarship in collaborative teamwork to impact the health of individuals and communities.

Chancellor’s Excellence in Research Award
This award honors a faculty member who exemplifies innovation and impact in research, scholarship and mentoring faculty and students as future researchers to impact the health of individuals and communities.

Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award
This award honors a faculty member who exemplifies service to the college, campus, university, or community.

Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Award
The Office of the Chancellor and Vice President for Health Sciences presents this award to honor a faculty member who exemplifies scholarly teaching and mentoring students as future health care professionals or researchers to impact the health of individuals and communities.
