Chancellor’s Excellence in Service and Community Impact Award

The Office of the Chancellor and Vice President for Health Sciences presents this award to honor a faculty member who exemplifies service to the campus, university, community, or discipline.

Eligibility

WSU Health Sciences faculty members with appointments in any of the tracks.

Criteria

The Chancellor’s Excellence in Service and Community Impact Award recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates excellence and significant commitment to service. Activities recognized by this award may include outstanding singular accomplishments or a record of excellence over a period of years. The candidate should have significant engagement in at least two of campus, institutional, community, state, national, or professional service. Weight will be given to candidates who have served on high-impact committees or have held committee leadership positions.

Application and Review Process

Nominators are asked to submit a narrative describing the candidate’s accomplishments as per above and the candidate’s CV. The narrative should be comprehensible by a health sciences faculty member whose service experiences differ from those of the candidate. It should be a maximum of one page/500 words. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee of WSU Spokane faculty who are actively engaged in service.
