2017 Project Lead The Way State Conference
Who Should Attend: Schools and school districts that are planning new or expanding their existing PLTW programs and current PLTW teachers. Bring your teachers, counselors, building and district administrators to learn and work together as a team to develop and/or expand student opportunities for STEM learning and to develop skills to thrive in an evolving world.
Where: Seattle University, Student Center, Room 160 ~ 901 12th Avenue, Seattle, WA
When: Tuesday, December 5, 2017 ~ 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (check-in and breakfast available at 7:30 am)
Cost: $25.00 per attendee (includes: light breakfast, lunch, clock hours & parking – parking is limited, so please carpool)
Conference topics include:
PLTW’s STEM program and curriculum overview for new schools/districts, Networking with PLTW colleagues for new and existing schools/districts, Making the most of your PLTW Program, Inside look at “Courses” the PLTW curriculum delivery system, and Student panel & demonstrations
Pre-Conference Vex and RobotC Workshop for PLTW Teachers:
Four (4) hour hands-on training with Vex and RobotC, as used in the PLTW courses: AR, POE, DE, AE and CIM. Trainer is a representative from Robotics Education Competition (REC) Foundation (REC runs Vex Competitions) and assisted by an experienced POE teacher and robotics advisor.

When: Monday, December 4, 2017 ~ Noon – 4:00 pm
Cost: No Fee – on-campus parking will NOT be provided and will be the responsibility of the attendee, afternoon snack provided
