Cougs for Care and Cure-ALS Walk

April 27, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wave the flag for WSU Health Sciences and our new Gleason Institute for Neuroscience by registering for the Walk to Defeat ALS!

We’ve created a team called Cougs for Care and Cure, and will have WSU T-shirts for walkers to wear. There is no minimum donation or fund-raising required, but any amount you raise or donate will go to a very good cause – the ALS Association.

If you’re interested in representing WSU and supporting the fight against ALS, please email Addy Hatch at  addy.hatch@wsu.edu and give her your T-shirt size so we can order WSU shirts for the team, by Tuesday, April 9. Note: you’ll also need to register separately for the walk at the website listed below.

When: Saturday, April 27

Time: Check-in starts at 10 a.m., and the walk starts at 11 a.m.

Where: Check-in at the Forestry Shelter in Riverfront Park, 507 N. Howard Street

Walk distance: 2.5 miles

Register: Register online. When prompted, choose team Cougs for Care and Cure.

Note: The ALS website asks for both a personal fund-raising goal and a personal donation from individuals when they register, which can be confusing. Also, you will get a WSU t-shirt, even if you don’t raise the $75 necessary to get an official ALS Walk t-shirt.
