ESF College of Medicine Hackathon

April 12, 2019 - April 14, 2019

#WSUMedHack – April 12-14, 2019, Spokane, WA

The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine Health Technology Incubator is holding its second annual Hackathon, dubbed #WSUMedHack, in April 2019. This event will bring together patients, students, faculty, developers, caregivers and more for an intense few days (and nights) of innovation. Attendees will form teams, identify challenges, and build technology solutions over the course of a few short days. Join groups of like-minded innovators and problem solvers as we identify and solve healthcare challenges facing rural and underserved communities.

#WSUMedHack 2019 will be hosted at WSU Spokane and collaborate with local and statewide health care communities. Participants, mentors and judges from around the region (and the world) will be invited participate.

Last year’s #WSUMedHack led to the creation of several new businesses, a non-profit student group, scholarly work and research, and closer integration between all parties as it pertains to STEM, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Media took notice with coverage in print, digital, social media and even a segment on local TV.

Is there a health care challenge in your community that you’d like to solve? An innovative idea you’d like to see become reality? Maybe your experience with design and development can be put to use creating the next great health care innovation. More than just a discussion, a Hackathon is your chance to take an idea from concept to reality in a few short days.
