Fire Extinguisher training

Washington State regulations require any employee who may use a fire extinguisher to have annual training.
Regulations require employees that have not received fire extinguisher training within the last 12 months understand that they are required to evacuate in the event of a fire. What this means is that if you have not taken fire extinguisher training within the last 12 months, you are required to evacuate the building in the event of a fire or fire alarm.
A fire extinguisher training will be provided by Environmental Health and Safety on Wednesday, August 8, at 10:00 am. If you would like to take this training please contact Chad Trent at chad.trent@wsu.edu or sign up through the training option in myWSU. Search for Portable Fire Extinguisher Training under ILT.
