First Aid-AED-CPR Training

Refresher First Aid/AED/CPR classes are open to all faculty and staff on campus. Due to budget constraints and college specific requirements, the colleges of Nursing and Pharmacy are not able to participate in this training. If an individual in those colleges wishes to participate on their own, they will be responsible for the full cost. Employees should seek approval to cover the expense of the class from their department prior to registering. The cost for all classes is $15 per person. If you register for the class and do not attend you will be billed. Register through Norene Phillipson. Additoinal dates and times are listed below:

• Thursday, April 6, 8:30-4:00pm (1/2 hour lunch), CCRS 255
• Tuesday, May 23, 8:30-4:00pm, (1/2 hour lunch), CCRS 255
• Thursday, May 25, 8:30-4:00pm, (1/2 hour lunch), CCRS 255

There have been a couple of changes to the training schedule:

• The class is now 6.5 hours long of instruction.  The American Heart Association has added lots of new information that AHA instructor, Kathy Conlin, needs to cover during the class.
• The class will be held on one day with a ½ hour lunch.  Feel free to bring water and a snack to class for both the morning and afternoon sessions.
