Hennings Faculty Candidate Presentation is Dec. 11

The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine’s Department of Biomedical Sciences will host Jamie Anastas, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, for the Hennings Faculty Candidate Presentation on Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in SAC 249.

The presentation is also available on Zoom.

Anastas will present Investigating Chromatin Dependencies in Pediatric High-Grade Gliom.

Anastas completed her Ph.D. at the University of Washington where her studies focused on determining functional roles for beta-catenin independent WNT signaling in breast cancer metastasis and the development of therapeutic resistance in melanoma. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School where she studies pediatric high-grade gliomas driven by histone mutations (H3K27M and H3G34R).
