HRS/TIAA pre-retirement and benefit Overview Seminars

Human Resource Services (HRS), in collaboration with TIAA will be offering the following presentations Friday, September 22, 2017. These presentations will also be available via video-conference. Pre-Retirement Presentations are designed for WSURP participants planning to retire in 5-10 years. Benefit Overview Presentation is designed for all benefit eligible employees who wish to review their WSU benefits package and retirement savings options.
Pre-Retirement Sessions
Friday, September 22, 2017 in SAC 145A from:
8:15am to 10:45am or 2:00pm to 4:30pm
During the first portion of these sessions, HRS personnel will review retiree medical and dental insurance options, the VEBA sick leave cash-out benefit, life insurance options, tax-deferring payouts, and the Supplemental Retirement Plan benefit.
Representatives from TIAA will continue the presentation by reviewing retirement income options, providing objective advice on asset allocation based on individual needs, showing how to obtain a personalized actionable plan, funding the financial strategy that fits personal needs, and keeping retirement investing on track.
Benefit Overview Session
Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00pm – SAC 145A
During the first portion of this session, HRS personnel will provide an overview of the benefits package offered to all WSU benefit-eligible employees. Throughout our career, we often experience changes, and those changes should cause us to stop and review our various benefit selections. At this session, we will review: benefits package (various insurances, out of pocket expenses, dependent issues, VIP savings plans).
Representatives from TIAA will continue the presentation focusing on topics such as setting goals, Voluntary Investment Plan (VIP), diversification, & market timing.
