Learn about Urbanova

July 25, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Want to learn more about this thing called Urbanova? Urbanova is a smart city living laboratory in the University District and will be explained on campus Wednesday morning to delegates attending the Pacific Northwest Economic Region annual summit and all others on campus interested in listening.

The panel presenters will include Kim Zentz of the WSU College of Engineering and Architecture and CEO of Urbanova; Sharelynn Moore, a senior vice president of Itron; and Mike Diedesh, lead smart city engineer of Avista Utilities.

The presentation is from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in CCRS Court (formerly South Campus Facility Court) on Wednesday, July 25.

Located in the University District near downtown, Urbanova harnesses data to gain insights, empower people and solve urban challenges in new ways. It is a catalyst for ideas and investments leading to healthier citizens, safer neighborhoods, smarter infrastructure, a more sustainable environment and a stronger economy. Urbanova, a nonprofit organization, was founded by Avista, the City of Spokane, Itron, Washington State University, McKinstry and the University District Development Association.
