MLK Day of Service

WSU Spokane students, faculty, and staff: Let’s turn this day off into a day ON for our community.
Students, staff, and faculty from WSU Spokane, EWU, Gonzaga, Whitworth, and Spokane Falls Community College will join with partners in the greater Spokane community to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy by spending the day serving in the local community.
MORNING EVENTS: 10-10:30 a.m. – UNITY RALLY (Downtown Spokane in the INB Performing Arts Center Ballroom.); 10:30-11 am – UNITY MARCH – Participants will walk from INB to River Park Square and back to the INB. This march brings 2,000-3,000 participants from the community.
AFTERNOON SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – PRE-SERVICE LUNCH- (WSU Spokane students will check-in at the pre-service lunch.) 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. – SERVICE PROJECTS – (After lunch there will be service opportunities at various locations across Spokane County.)
