Real Models in Academic Medicine-Panel Presentation

Theme: Navigating Career Challenges and Embracing Unexpected Opportunities

Are you new to academic medicine? Have you worked in academic medicine for a while and experienced challenges along the way? Do you have innovative ideas on how to increase gender equity?

Sponsored by the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and titled, “Real Models in Academic Medicine,” a panel of women in varying stages of their careers with experience in academic medicine will speak. All are faculty members in the College of Medicine:

  • Patricia Butterfield, Ph.D., RN, professor and associate dean of Research
  • Renata Moon, M.D., clinical assistant professor
  • Radha Nandagopal, M.D. clinical education director, Clinical Skills
  • Jingru Sun, Ph.D., assistant professor

The conversation will continue afterward and focus on generating concrete strategies for advancing gender equity at WSU Spokane. Both men and women are welcome to attend, and the event is open to all students and faculty.
