Rare Disease Day

Rare Disease Day Spokane is an educational event to draw attention to rare diseases as an important public health issue.

This is an opportunity for patients, caregivers, medical professionals, students, educators, legislators and industry representatives to come together to learn about rare diseases from the perspectives of what it’s like to live with or care for someone with a rare disease, and hear insights shared by dedicated researchers.  Speakers include:

12:00 – Alana Madrano – Momboss, Child advocate, special needs parent

12:15 – Michael Ebinger, Ph.D. MBA, Director, WSU Center for Innovation, Rare Disease Patient

12:30 – Nancy Potter, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, WSU Professor Speech & Hearing Sciences, Galatosemia Researcher

12:45 – ASK US ANYTHING – Panel Discussion
