ESFCOM’s Group on Women in Medicine and Science (GWIMS) will host She Said, He Said: Overcoming Gender Acculturation in the Workplace on April 16 from noon – 1:30 p.m. in Nursing 205. Dr. Rebecca Craft, Herbert L. Eastlick Professor of Psychology, Director, Experimental Psychology Doctoral Program, Washington State University, will present.

Dr. Craft will present a framework for understanding how gender differences in communication arise, leading us to misinterpret others’ communication and sometimes even get offended by it. Suggestions will be made for modifying our communication to increase our ability to advance and be heard, and to develop effective coalitions with colleagues of all genders.
