Science Bites – Graduate or Professional Students

Encourage graduate or professional students to participate in Science Bites on Tuesday, Dec. 4
All WSU graduate or professional students who conduct research are encouraged to compete in Science Bites on Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in SAC 147.
Impress Chancellor DeWald in Science Communication. Competitors have three minutes and one static slide to deliver a compelling description of their research and its significance, in language understandable to non-specialists. The Grand Prize is $200 for travel to the ScienceTalk Annual Conference April 4-5 in Portland. Second and third place prizes include generous gift cards from local sponsors.
Free lunch will be served for WSU GRSA attendees and competitors. Judges include Chancellor Daryll DeWald, Celestina Barbosa-Leiker from the College of Nursing, and a member of the local Toastmasters club.
