Spokane Transit Authority Workshop in PBS Lobby

Today, from 4 – 6 p.m., Spokane Transit will hold a workshop in the lobby of the PBS to update people on the Central City Line project and gather feedback about these design elements:  * Downtown alignment,  * Station locations,  *Station design and amenities,  * Potential land use policy and economic development incentives to support the Central City Line.

The Central City Line project is a six-mile Bus Rapid Transit route connecting Browne’s Addition to Spokane Community College by way of Downtown Spokane and the University District. It will be a modern-style electric bus providing nearly one million rides per year. It will feature more frequent trips and convenient elements like pre-board ticketing, level boarding and improved stations with real-time signage, wayfinding and other amenities.
