Malin Young, Ph.D. Deputy Director for Science and Technology Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, presents:

PNNL and WSU: Working Together to Address our Nation’s Grand Research Challenges As deputy director of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s science and technology efforts, Malin Young, Ph.D. is responsible for integrating PNNL’s capabilities to address critical challenges in science, energy, the environment, and national security. She also manages PNNL’s research partnerships, institutional science and technology investments, and technology commercialization activities. PNNL is one of the Department of Energy’s 17 national labs that push the frontiers of scientific knowledge, keeps our nation secure, and fuels our economy. WSU’s research portfolio has key strengths in energy, sustainable resources, and national security, resulting in a long-standing partnership with PNNL. The partnership includes joint faculty appointments, collaborative research efforts, and opportunities for graduate students and postdocs. Learn how the partnership results in important scientific discovery and technology development that tackle some of our nation’s greatest challenges.
