Visiting Physician: Translational Medicine Research

January 19, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

All students and faculty in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine are invited to a presentation on Friday, January 19 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in SAC 20 about how to build a translational outcomes program with and for physician scientists.

The topic will be presented by Jeremiah A. Alt, M.D., Ph.D., a 1998 WSU graduate and Spokane native who is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology – Rhinology and an assistant research professor in medicinal chemistry at the University of Utah. Alt’s presentation, titled Translating Research into Clinical Practice: Synthetic Glycosaminoglycans to Treat Chronic Rhinosinusitis, uses chronic rhinosinusitis as an example to explain how to translate faculty research into clinical practice.

The presentation is sponsored by WSU Spokane Chancellor Daryll DeWald and Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine Founding Dean John Tomkowiak.
