Save the Date: Wellness Collaborative, Faculty and Staff Freekeh* Spring Event
*Freekeh, or farik, is a cereal food made from green durum wheat that is roasted and rubbed to create its flavor. It is an ancient dish derived from Levantine and North African cuisines, remaining popular in many countries of the eastern Mediterranean Basin where durum wheat originated.
At the Wellness Collaborative’s Spring Event on Wednesday, March 20, enjoy some grain bowls served with Freekeh (optional), as well as:
- Bloomsday participation sign up
- Relay Race against Colleges and Campus Faculty/Staff
- VR-heart transplant simulation
- Spokanimal pet cuddle station
- Wii Sports competition
- Massage (tentative)
Sign ups will be released next week. Please block your lunch break between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. More details to come.
