Workshop for those with Compassion Fatigue

HPA student Catherine (Cat) Mayberry is a licensed mental health counselor and certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist. She is offering a free, day-long workshop for students, faculty and staff titled, How to Increase Your Professional Quality of Life While Working in Health Care.

The workshop is on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in HERB 432. The workshop is part of the research component of Mayberry’s M.H.P.A. program. She has been certified to give the training by its designer, J.Eric Gentry, Ph.D., through the Arizona Trauma Institute in Mesa, Ariz.

Mayberry has more than a decade of management and clinical experience in behavioral health systems as well as experience in military medical administration in the Washington Air National Guard.
