Campus Weapons Policy & Prohibited Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the safety of everyone, all types of weapons are prohibited on the WSU Spokane campus. This includes but is not restricted to firearms, ammunition, explosives, air guns, BB guns, crossbows, bows and arrows, spring-type guns, slingshots, firecrackers, and fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone possessing or using any of these weapons can and will be subject to disciplinary action and possible arrest, imprisonment, or fine according to Washington state or federal law.<\/p>\n\n\n

WAC is the Washington Administrative Code, the body of laws from the administrative branch of state government.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

WAC 504-26-213: Firearms and dangerous weapons<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

No student may carry, possess, or use any firearm, explosive (including fireworks), dangerous chemical, or any dangerous weapon on university property or in university-approved housing. Airsoft guns and other items that shoot projectiles are not permitted in university-approved housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WSU is committed to maintaining an environment that is free from all acts or threats of violence perpetrated by or against employees, students, or members of the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workplace Violence (BPPM 50.30): Definition & Reporting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As defined in BPPM 50.30,<\/a> workplace violence includes physical assault or threatening, intimidating, or abusive conduct. A single act may constitute workplace violence if it is especially severe or egregious. If a manager or supervisor is unsure whether a particular act constitutes workplace violence, they should contact HRS. Any employee who perceives an immediate threat of bodily harm should immediately call 911.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relationship & Sexual Misconduct (Title IX & State Law)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

WSU prohibits the crimes of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. These crimes are defined in WSU Executive Policy 15<\/a> and in the WSU Standards of Conduct for Students. WSU community members are also subject to Washington State laws prohibiting these crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reporting Options & Title IX Contacts (EP 15)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Individuals may report crimes<\/a> implicating the WSU Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and Harassment, Executive Policy 15 (EP 15), to the Title IX Coordinator or WSU Compliance and Civil Rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
