Environmental Health and Safety
Workplace ergonomics is concerned with the design of a workstation for efficiency and safety. It is meant to help you with sitting, standing, moving and viewing your work safely.
Ergonomics covers such topics as correct sitting and standing posture at your computer, important features to have in a chair, positioning of your computer keyboard and monitor(s), placement of your documents and furniture in your work area.
If you would like an assessment of your workstation, please contact the WSU Spokane Environmental Health & Safety Office.
