Benefits

This service enables users to activate new connections for newly-installed network devices, such as desktop computers, printers, and VoIP telephones, and re-connect them after a move or remodel is performed.

Features

  • Establishing and verifying new network connections is often a part of the Move, Add, Change – MAC process. By scheduling ahead of time, faculty and staff can ensure that a network connection is activated and when the new equipment arrives.
  • Once an office or laboratory connection is established, simply plug in an Ethernet cable to connect. The physical networking service is handled by the ITS team directly.
  • Network connections can be created and managed for all types of equipment. Create a connection for a desktop computer, VoIP telephone, workgroup printer, display monitor, or other department or research-specific technical equipment.

Rates

There are no costs associated with network connection service and support for Washington State University students, faculty, staff, or institutional partners.
