The Community Mental Health Summit in Eastern Washington will take place May 21, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Washington State University Spokane on the Health Sciences Campus.
Hosted by the APPROACHES Lab in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health Sciences, this full-day, in-person summit will bring together behavioral health providers, researchers, students, community organizations, and advocates from across Eastern Washington to explore strategies for improving mental health outcomes in the region.
The program will include a morning keynote presentation, two breakout session blocks with roundtable discussions and symposium-style presentations, and a closing panel discussion. Breakout sessions will cover topics such as first episode psychosis, housing and homelessness, and co-occurring substance use.
The summit is designed to foster collaboration between healthcare providers, community organizations, academic institutions, and trainees working in behavioral health. Continuing education (CE) credits will be available for a variety of health professionals.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required due to limited capacity.
