{"id":3500,"date":"2025-02-12T11:43:22","date_gmt":"2025-02-12T19:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/extra\/?p=3500"},"modified":"2025-07-08T11:01:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T18:01:01","slug":"wsu-health-sciences-selected-as-member-of-arpa-h-investor-catalyst-and-customer-experience-networks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/news\/research\/wsu-health-sciences-selected-as-member-of-arpa-h-investor-catalyst-and-customer-experience-networks\/","title":{"rendered":"WSU Health Sciences selected as member of ARPA-H Investor Catalyst and Customer Experience networks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>WSU Health Sciences was recently selected as a spoke for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/investorcatalysthub.org\/\">Investor Catalyst Hub<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.customerexperiencehub.org\/\">Customer Experience Hub<\/a>, regional hubs of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/arpa-h.gov\/engage\/arpanet-h\/\">ARPANET-H<\/a>, a nationwide health innovation network launched by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/arpa-h.gov\/\">Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health<\/a>\u00a0(ARPA-H). Spokes within the network include academia, nonprofits, government, industry, and other organizations with dynamic expertise in health and medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU\u2019s commitment to advancing health science innovations and research that benefit Washingtonians and the global community aligns with the two hubs\u2019 focus on creating local, regional, and national partnerships to deliver scalable healthcare solutions for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur community-based education and engagement gives us a unique view of the practical challenges to delivering the best possible care. This perspective allows us to advise and collaborate on improving processes, technology, and innovations within the two hubs,\u201d said Craig Parks, associate vice president of WSU Health Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU Health Sciences joins a nationwide network of organizations working to improve health outcomes through research in the following focus areas: health science futures, proactive health, scalable solutions, and resilient systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur vibrant spoke network reflects a diverse range of experts with a shared commitment to closing gaps in innovation and health equity,\u201d said Chelsea Schiller, director of the Investor Catalyst Hub. \u201cBy building connections between our network and ARPA-H programs, we can help speed up the transition of innovative ideas into equitable health solutions for all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a spoke member for the two hubs, WSU Health Sciences gains access to potential funding and flexible contracting for faster award execution than traditional government contracts.
