Faculty, staff, and students associated with the Spokane campus will receive text messages, phone calls, and emails clearly identified as tests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All employees and students are automatically registered to receive alerts to their WSU email. However, please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/alert\">spokane.wsu.edu\/alert<\/a> to update your emergency contact information so you receive this test and any future alerts in a timely manner via your preferred contact methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU Spokane places the safety and security of its students, employees, and visitors as its highest priority. Here are some ways that you can be prepared in the event of an emergency:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Identify exits and safe routes<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 know at least two ways out of classrooms, offices, and common areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review emergency resources<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 familiarize yourself with evacuation maps, shelter locations, and safety equipment on campus. <a href=\"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/campus-security\/emergency-procedures\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/campus-security\/emergency-procedures\/\">You can read more about the campus emergency response here.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Watch the on-demand campus safety training<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FIaeCYf4oiI\">The WSU Spokane emergency response video <\/a>explains how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters, technological disasters, and human-caused incidents.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plan communication<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 know who you will contact during an incident and have their information readily available.
