IMPORTANT NOTE: Application fees are non-refundable and admission to WSU Spokane is based on acceptance by the department. Before proceeding with the application process, we strongly recommend you speak with an academic coordinator about admission requirements, any supplemental application material needed, and special deadlines for your desired degree program. If you have already spoken with an academic coordinator and you meet the admission requirements, please proceed.


Undergraduate Applications

WSU Spokane offers undergraduate degree completion programs in Nursing, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences, and Speech and Hearing Sciences. Students interested in these programs must fulfill core requirements and prerequisites at one of our other WSU campuses, a community college, or another accredited institution prior to applying to WSU Spokane.


Transfer Students

You’re considered a transfer student if you attended a college or university after your high school graduation, but not including the summer immediately following your graduation. If you took your only college courses in high school, you are considered a freshman student. If you previously enrolled at any WSU campus, you are considered a former student.

You’re considered a post degree student if you have already completed a degree from another university.

You’re considered a returning student if you previously attended any WSU campus as an undergraduate degree-seeking student and have been away from WSU for two or more semesters.

Change of Campus

Want to switch campuses? Follow these instructions if you’ve already applied and you’ve changed your mind about where you would like to attend. Admission or enrollment at one WSU campus does not guarantee admission or enrollment eligibility at another WSU campus.


Nursing Students

Students applying to the BSN or RN-BSN programs must complete a two-part application process.

Nutrition & Exercise Physiology Students

Students seeking the BS NEP are required to submit a WSU application, unless they are already a student on another WSU campus. All BS NEP students must complete the NEP department application. Deadline is January 31 each year.

Professional Program Applications

Students applying to professional programs at WSU Spokane must follow the specific procedures for admission to those programs. Please take note of requirements and deadlines and contact the department in which you’re interested as early as possible with questions you might have about the admissions process.


Graduate Programs

Students applying to graduate programs at the WSU Spokane campus must apply for admission to the Washington State University Graduate School.

Admission to the graduate school is determined jointly by the dean of the Graduate School and your prospective department or college. Many departments have additional requirements and deadlines, so contact the department in which you’re interested as early as possible.

Degree programs have specific deadlines for graduate priority admissions. Please check with your prospective department or college for those specific deadlines.

Admission to one of WSU Spokane’s graduate programs requires acceptance into the WSU Graduate School. While the requirements differ for each master’s degree program, they share these:

• A bachelor’s degree recognized by WSU.
• A 3.0 GPA from the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours.

Additionally, some programs require:

• Specific prerequisites.
• Letters of recommendation or letters of intent.
• Either the GMAT or the GRE.
