More

Wi-Fi Access

WSU is aware that the transition to distance learning may pose some challenges for students who do not have adequate WiFi access to stream classes, obtain class materials, and interact online.

The Office of the Provost is partnering with Information Technology Services to explore ways to provide WiFi access via mobile hotspots, or by other means. The University is gathering feedback and gauging interest at this time.

If you are interested in improved WiFi access , please complete and submit the form below. Further information will be provided upon submission of the form.

Parking lots and Internet access

If you need access to the Internet, there are spaces on campus where the Internet can be accessed. To maintain social distancing, we prefer you access the Internet in your car. This map will let you know where you can find that access.

Spokane Academic Library

Based on Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, the WSU/EWU Health Sciences campus now has limited access and remote operations. Due to this development, the WSU Spokane Academic Library is now closed, including 24-hour access with student IDs. These steps help to prioritize the health and safety of our patrons and employees. However, we are committed to helping people and providing resources to support research and learning. We will continue to do our best to serve the campus community remotely. Connect to the Library COVID-19 page for additional information.

Pro-rated refunds

WSU Health Sciences Spokane Parking Operations is now providing prorated refunds for Annual, Spring Semester, and Spring Quarter parking permits. Prorated refunds will be calculated using an effective date of March 23, 2020.

Please Note: Existing parking permits refunded will immediately expire. If you need to park on campus in the future, you will need to purchase a new parking permit or risk receiving a parking ticket.

Customers desiring prorated refunds must please submit an email request to spokane.parking@wsu.edu and include:

  • Name
  • University ID Number
  • Address
  • Phone #
  • Email address
  • Permit type (Annual, Quarter or Semester)

Counseling

WSU Health Sciences Counseling Services is still open. However, we are only providing tele-mental health services at this time. If you are a Spokane student, you can make an appointment by filling out this form, or by calling 509-358-7740. If you are a Yakima student, please email Lesley Brown at lesley.brown@wsu.edu or call 509-494-7925 to schedule an appointment

If you need immediate assistance or are in crisis whether a Spokane or Yakima student, please call the WSU Health Sciences Crisis line at 509-368-6500 (available 24 hours/day).

Computer Loan Program

Computers are available through the Computer Loan program and are shipped to students in need.

Access to SAC

SAC is currently locked. However, for students who do not have access to the Internet, do not have a car, or are in homes that are not conducive to learning, they can access SAC. This is for special circumstances and individuals only. This is not for study groups. If there is a large gathering of students in SAC, they will be asked to leave. To maintain social distancing, we prefer you access the Internet in your car.
