New Students: Welcome to WSU Health Sciences Spokane!

Disability Resources provides accommodations and services to incoming and current WSU Spokane students with disabilities, psychological or medical conditions, or temporary injuries that limit their access to the WSU environment. Some examples of the accommodations and services we provide are testing accommodations, i.e., reduced distraction testing environment, and extended time, access to lecture material, alternative print media, and assistive technology.

To request accommodations, you will need to submit an application through MyAccess, as well as documentation verifying the presence of a disability or chronic medical condition. After your application and documentation are reviewed, you will be contacted to meet with a Disability Resources Advisor to determine what accommodations will be most helpful for you.

Documentation Guidelines

If you received accommodations at your previous school, you may wish to work with your previous disability specialist to assemble a package of your documentation and accommodations; this information may include Individualized Education Plans, 504 Plans, or other documentation which verifies the presence of a disability or chronic medical condition. This package should be submitted to Disability Resources for review prior to meeting with an advisor as it will be helpful in determining your current accommodation needs. While Disability Resources does not conduct the assessment to determine the presence or current status of a qualifying condition or disability, we can direct you to providers who do. Once you have your documentation, you should submit it to our office for evaluation through MyAccess, email spokane.disability@wsu.edu or fax 509.358.7983, or submit a hard copy to our office:
