{"id":8154,"date":"2024-12-18T15:46:59","date_gmt":"2024-12-18T23:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/studentaffairs\/?page_id=8154"},"modified":"2026-03-09T16:57:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T23:57:31","slug":"childcare-subsidy-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/studentaffairs\/access-and-wellness\/childcare-subsidy-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Childcare Subsidy Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-decorator  wsu-decorator--style-triangle-gray-right\" style=\"bottom:0;left:65%\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-container\" >\r\n    \n\n<p>The Childcare Subsidy Program provides funding to support eligible\u00a0student parents to offset the cost of childcare.\u00a0This spring, one-time funding is made available thanks to a generous grant from\u00a0GESA\u00a0Credit Union in partnership with ASWSUHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading  wsu-heading--style-marked\">Childcare Subsidy Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Student <strong>must be the parent<\/strong> and\/or legal guardian of the child(ren).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child(ren) <strong>must live with the parent<\/strong> requesting the childcare subsidy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student <strong>must be enrolled in a minimum of 7 credits<\/strong> at WSU Spokane\/Yakima. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student must be using <strong>a licensed<\/strong> <strong>daycare\/childcare provider<\/strong> in either Washington or Idaho.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading  wsu-heading--style-marked\">How to Apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/spokane.wsu.edu\/studentaffairs\/access-and-wellness\/childcare-subsidy-program\/childcare-subsidy-application\/\">Childcare Subsidy Application<\/a>&nbsp;and upload a copy of the completed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-spokane\/uploads\/sites\/3361\/2026\/03\/Childcafe-Subsidy-Program-Form.pdf\">Childcare Provider Form (PDF).<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>All materials are due Friday, March 27, 2026, at 5 PM. <\/strong>Late or incomplete applications will not<strong> <\/strong>be considered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading  wsu-heading--style-marked\">Financial Aid Notice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to federal regulations, other sources of funding a student receives, regardless of source, are considered Other Financial Assistance (OFA) and must be properly accounted for. If you are a recipient of financial aid, receiving this award may affect your financial aid package.
